The Assisted Living Manager / Alternate ALM oversees daily operations and resident care for a community serving fewer than 50 residents, including high-acuity assisted living and memory care populations. Reporting to the Owner or Administrator, Director of Nursing, and Executive Director, this role provides coverage during manager absences, shares daily operational responsibility, and assumes full acting-manager authority when needed. The position also supports manager certification, succession planning, and cross-functional healthcare development.

Responsibilities

• Oversee resident care and coordinate individualized care plans.
• Manage staff scheduling and support daily community operations.
• Monitor medication processes and resident care needs.
• Maintain regulatory compliance and complete incident documentation.
• Communicate with residents’ families regarding care and community matters.
• Train and support staff while promoting quality assurance.
• Coordinate emergency response and assume full acting-manager authority when required.
• Provide operational coverage during manager absences and support shared daily leadership.

Preferred Qualifications

• Two or more years of assisted living management experience.
• State-approved Assisted Living Manager certification or license.
• Current CPR and First Aid certification.
• Experience with assisted living operations, resident care planning, and medication management.
• Proficiency in staff scheduling, regulatory compliance, electronic health records, and incident documentation.
• Leadership, conflict resolution, and communication skills.
