The Manufacturing Engineer will be responsible for improving manufacturing processes through "Lean" principles and recommending equipment for the blow molding production and logistics departments on all shifts as needed. You will be part of an energetic group of professionals in a fast paced state of the art manufacturing environment. Must be self-motivated, proactive, organized and have excellent communication skills, as well as a good attitude regarding team work and working well with all team members.Essential Functions: Meet physical, visual, and dexterity requirements necessary to perform each position or rotation in each production processMust be able to stand for extended periods of time on a hard surfaceAbility to timely perform each rotation or step in the production process sufficient to meet required cycle or production times, as modified from time to timeAbility to perform repetitive workAbility to accept direction and communicate in a cooperative and respectful manner with supervisors and co-workersMeet attendance / punctuality requirementsIdentify and report quality defects and raw material flawsAble to identify, report, and avoid unsafe working conditionsComply with Lifetime Product's policies prohibiting unlawful discrimination and harassment Duties and Responsibilities include the following (Other duties may be assigned): Working closely with production, logistics, maintenance and processing teams.Evaluating production floor layouts.Analyzing material flow.Creating and maintain routings and costing.Developing processes to ensure efficiency.Identifying equipment needs.Troubleshooting current production equipment.Deploying new products.Any other duties as assigned by supervisor/manager.Qualifications: Bachelor's degree (B.A.) from four-year College or University in Manufacturing Engineering or Manufacturing Engineering Technology (MET)Ability to work with mathematical concepts such as statistical analysis, time studies, and manufacturing cost. Ability to read, write and interpret documents such as routine reports and correspondence, safety rules, procedure manuals, and general business documents. Proficient computer skills including electronic mail, record keeping and working knowledge of Microsoft office which include Outlook, Word and Excel.
