Registered Nurse - Infusion

Job Description

Job Summary:
Seeking an experienced RN to join an inpatient infusion center specializing in outpatient oncology treatments. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in infusion therapy, oncology procedures, and EPIC EMR systems to deliver high-quality patient care.

Responsibilities:

• Administer infusion therapies, including chemotherapy and bone marrow aspirations, ensuring patient safety and comfort.
• Monitor patient responses during treatment, manage adverse reactions, and document findings accurately in EPIC.
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to develop and implement individualized care plans.
• Maintain compliance with hospital protocols, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
• Prepare and operate specialized equipment such as blood warmers, vein finders, and ultrasound-guided IV machines.
• Educate patients and families regarding treatment procedures, potential side effects, and post-care instructions.

Qualifications:

• Valid RN license with a minimum of 1 year of infusion or outpatient oncology experience.
• Proven experience with EPIC EMR system and oncology patient diagnoses including solid tumors, lymphomas, and chronic leukemia.
• Current BLS and ONS/ONCC certification required; ACLS and OCN preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to perform complex procedures such as intravesicular and intrathecal chemotherapy.
• Ability to pass a compliance EKG exam with two attempts.
• No open background cases and compliance with Tier2 travel regulations required.
