Assistant General Manager

DESCRIPTION

We are looking for a highly organized, disciplined, and professional Assistant General Manager to manage our FOH and BOH teams. The Assistant General Manager's responsibilities will include leading and overseeing day-to-day operations, assigning, and assuring completion of weekly team performance goals, ensuring customers' needs are being met, assisting back-of-house and front-of-house teams as needed, and accomplishing all duties while adhering to all safety guidelines.

Responsibilities

• Assist with overseeing day-to-day operations, assigning weekly performance goals and assuring their completion

• Oversee the preparation of safe, delicious food while maintaining a clean, organized restaurant

• Assist in delegating responsibilities to the best employees to perform them while enforcing all policies, procedures, standards, specifications, guidelines, training programs, and cultural values

• Assist in recruiting, onboarding, and training high-performing employees to achieve sales, profitability, market share, and business plan objectives

• Assist in resolving internal staff conflicts efficiently and to the mutual benefit of those involved

• Correctly manage and assist team in completing opening or closing duties

REQUIREMENTS

• Leadership-oriented, or passion for leadership and team development
• Experience in a hospitality-related management or front-of-the-house is preferred
• Strong decision-making capabilities, and above-average communication, collaboration, and delegation skills
• Ability to motivate and lead people, and hold employees accountable
• Management and leadership knowledge recommended
• High school diploma or GED; Bachelor's degree is highly recommended but not required
• Efficient at planning and multi-tasking
• Good verbal and written communication
• Bilingual in English and Spanish is recommended, but not required
