Role: Veterinary Assistant or Veterinary Technician
Status: Full-time
Salary: Negotiable and based on experience
Schedule: Rotating schedule of four weekdays one week and three weekdays plus a rotating Saturday shift the next; no nights, on-call shifts, or holiday hours

What You'll Do

• Triage patients and obtain medical histories, vital signs, and assessments
• Assist veterinarians during examinations, treatments, surgeries, and procedures
• Provide compassionate nursing care from admission through discharge
• Administer medications, vaccines, and treatments as directed
• Perform venipuncture, IV catheter placement, fluid therapy, and diagnostic sample collection
• Obtain quality radiographs and perform in-house laboratory testing
• Assist with surgical and dental procedures, including patient preparation, anesthesia monitoring, and recovery
• Practice low-stress, fear-free patient handling techniques
• Educate clients on preventive care, treatment plans, and medications
• Maintain accurate medical records and clean, organized treatment areas
• Support a positive, efficient workflow throughout the hospital

What Our Veterinary Team Brings

• Previous Veterinary Assistant or Veterinary Technician experience preferred
• Strong technical skills including venipuncture, catheter placement, laboratory procedures, radiology, and anesthesia monitoring
• Compassionate patient handling and nursing care
