Bartender - Tequilas on the Gulf

Responsibilities Takes orders from guests or servers. Maintains a 2 minute or less production cycle for a 20-drink tray or a 2-minute cycle (2 drinks a minute) for a cash bar. Prepares and pours drink orders with proper portions and ingredients according to recipe, communicates with beverage servers, and presents drinks to guests or servers as required. Operates a cash register/POS System, ringing proper amount into the register and giving the guest or server the correct change; accounts for all cash, charge and complimentary sales according to established procedure; maintains integrity of all financial controls and responsibilities. Provides fast, friendly, and professional service. Provides personalized service and uses guest’s name. Orders and requisitions liquors and supplies. Arranges bottles and glasses to make attractive display. Slices and pits fruit for garnishing drinks. Replenishes bar snacks such as chips, pretzels and nuts. Maintains a clean and stocked workstation in accordance with established health and safety guidelines. Operates and maintains all equipment and utensils as required in accordance with established guidelines and safety procedures. Adheres to department and property policies and procedures. Maintains knowledge of property information, including memorabilia. Follows alcohol awareness procedures regarding company’s responsible beverage service. Serves as ambassador of goodwill while working and at guest and public relations functions. Promotes casino events and programs. Monitors guest consumption of alcohol and intervenes as needed according to guidelines. Requests ID from customers when legal age is questionable. Works well with others, especially beverage servers, bartenders, bar backs, beverage supervisor, and slots supervisor. Resolves service problems according to guidelines. Competencies Must be 21 years of age. Must be able to read, write legibly, understand and speak English. Must be able to communicate clearly and effectively with all Hard Rockers and guests Must be able to count money and change correctly. Available to work required schedule, which may include nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime as needed. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions. Must project a positive image. High energy level. Excellent interpersonal skills. Ability to deal with people in a manner that shows sensitivity, tact, and professionalism. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
