SUPERVISORY LOGISTICS MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST

Summary You will serve as a SUPERVISORY LOGISTICS MANAGEMENT SPECIALIST within HEADQUARTERS US INDO-PACIFIC COMMAND. Responsibilities You will serve as the senior civilian lead, providing long-term continuity and stability for the J43 Logistics Operations Division. You will advise the USINDOPACOM Joint Directorate leadership on logistical support issues that could negatively impact mission execution and combat readiness. You will exercise delegated managerial authority to set long-range goals, approve multi-year work plans, and manage the allocation of the division's budget. You will direct subordinate supervisors who oversee substantial GS-14/15 level workloads, ensuring the integration of numerous important projects and administrative functions. You will be responsible for the timely publication of critical theater documents, including the Distribution Plan, Posture Plan, and Movement Prioritization policy. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-14 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: 1). Directing future operations planning and distribution for critical theater logistics, including munitions and bulk petroleum, to support high-stakes campaign plans and crisis response scenarios. 2). Influencing theater-wide logistical doctrine, policies, and systems development by providing expert direction on everything from training and personnel to budget and reengineering efforts. 3). Coordinating across multiple 4-star commands, the Joint Staff, and the Office of the Secretary of Defense to synchronize the Joint Logistics Enterprise (JLEnt) and ensure mission readiness. 4). Performing the full range of supervisory duties, including appraising the performance of subordinate supervisors, approving extensive overtime or travel, and resolving complex group grievances. 5). Developing and maintaining critical relationships with senior military and civilian leaders, serving as a key representative in high-level boards and conferences to resolve significant operational challenges.
