Job Summary

We are seeking a dependable Mill Operator w/ Sit-down Forklift to join our rubber manufacturing team. This position is responsible for mixing rubber compounds to meet production orders, operating mill equipment safely and efficiently, and transporting materials throughout the facility using a sit-down forklift. The ideal candidate is physically fit, safety-conscious, able to follow written and verbal instructions, and comfortable working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

• Mix rubber compounds according to production orders and specifications.
• Operate mill equipment to process and prepare rubber materials for production.
• Load, unload, and transport raw materials and finished batches using a sit-down forklift .
• Verify materials and ensure the correct compounds are prepared for each order.
• Monitor rubber consistency and report any quality or equipment issues.
• Keep accurate production records and complete required documentation.
• Follow written work instructions, production schedules, and supervisor directions.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area.
• Follow all company safety policies and wear required PPE.
• Assist other departments as needed to support production goals.

Qualifications

• Previous manufacturing or rubber production experience preferred.
• Required: Sit-down forklift experience.
• Ability to understand and follow written and verbal instructions.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.
• Dependable with a strong work ethic and positive attitude.

Physical Requirements

• Must have excellent stamina and physical strength.
• Ability to lift and carry 60+ pounds on a regular basis.
• Ability to stand, bend, twist, push, pull, and walk throughout the shift.
• Comfortable working in a hot, noisy manufacturing environment.
• Ability to work overtime and weekends as needed.

Preferred Skills

• Rubber mixing or mill operation experience.
• Forklift certification (or ability to become certified).
• Basic mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
• Strong teamwork and communication skills.
