Full Time | Nights (11:30pm - 8am)

New Increased Pay Rate up to $38/hour

PLUS $1500 Sign on Bonus for Full Time

Responsibilities of an LPN (Licensed Practical Nurse) - Assisted Living:

• Directs day to day operations of a designated nursing assignment in accordance with current rules, regulations and guidelines that govern assisted living facilities.
• Provides and monitors to ensure residents are provided with professional nursing care according to AL Policies in compliance with Health Department regulations and the Maryland Board of Nursing Nurse Practice Act.
• Communicates information to assist caregivers in understanding resident care needs and delegates care appropriately. Supervises caregivers to ensure appropriate care was provided.
• Explains procedures and treatments to residents. Administers prescribed medications and treatments in accordance with policy and approved nursing techniques. Performs nursing procedures that may not be delegated to care givers such as catheterization, dressing changes and injections.
• Records significant conditions, vital signs, weights, pain, and reaction to interventions. Ensures that weights are obtained per policy or as ordered. Notifies the DHS and physicians of resident's condition and reaction to interventions as well as significant incidents requiring medical attention.
• Makes daily rounds in each building to which are assigned to be aware of residents' condition and environment and to ensure that nursing staff are performing work assignments in accordance with acceptable standards of practice.

Requirements of an LPN (Licensed Practical Nurse) - Assisted Living:

• Possesses current LPN license from an accredited college or technical school program.
• A minimum of 1 year of experience in caring for the elderly.
