Substitute Teachers

A SLAM Substitute Teacher is responsible for maintaining continuity of instruction in the absence of the regular classroom teacher. This role involves implementing lesson plans, managing classroom behavior, and creating a safe, productive learning environment for students across various grade levels and subject areas. Key Responsibilities Follow lesson plans provided by the regular teacher to deliver instruction effectively Maintain classroom order and implement school behavior policies Take attendance and complete required documentation Adapt instruction as needed to meet student needs and classroom dynamics Supervise students in the classroom, hallways, cafeteria, and during other school activities Communicate with school staff regarding any issues or concerns that arise Provide feedback to the regular teacher regarding student progress and classroom activities Ensure the safety and well-being of all students at all times Uphold school policies, procedures, and professional standards Competitive Compensation and Benefits Requirements Associate's Degree; Bachelor’s degree preferred Substitute teaching certification or eligibility as required by state/district Ability to work with students of varying ages, backgrounds, and abilities Strong communication and classroom management skills Flexibility and reliability #J-18808-Ljbffr SLAM Apollo
