Job Opportunity

Position Overview

We are seeking qualified candidates for a Respiratory Therapist position. This role involves working with patients of all age groups in a critical care environment at an acute care community hospital.

Shift Information

• Shift: Night 3x12-Hour (18:15 - 06:45)
• Hours: 36 hours accepted
• Every other weekend required
• No call required

Minimum Qualifications

• Minimum Experience Required: 1 Year
• Must hold an active state license, with a preference for a New Hampshire license (accepting applicants with pending licenses in NH)
• Epic charting experience required
• Previous experience in a charge role is not required

Patient Care Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for the following:

• Administering respiratory therapies in acute care settings
• Utilizing RT driven protocols for adult critical care
• Performing treatments such as nebulizer therapy, high flow oxygen, non-invasive ventilation, and cough assist
• Assisting with intubations and bronchoscopy procedures
• Managing mechanical ventilation and the in-house transport of mechanically ventilated patients
• Providing pediatric care in the ER and pediatrics, based on demonstrated competency

Patient Population

• Patient Age Group: Infants through Geriatrics, with a preference for experience in Neonates
• Focus on Acute Care, ER, and Adult ICU settings

Required Skills and Experience

• Airway management and medication administration
• Ventilator management and interpretation of arterial blood gases (ABGs)
• Oxygen therapy, suctioning, and pulmonary hygiene practices
• Experience with various respiratory care equipment

Preferred Certifications

• BLS certification required
• Active New Hampshire state license preferred
• Additional certifications, such as ACLS, PALS, CRTT, or RRT, are advantageous

• Supports trauma care and has a focus on interdisciplinary collaboration
