The Position

The Retail Sales Account Manager will play an important role in growing and supporting Stahlbush Island Farms’ retail business, with responsibility for sales activities from lead generation and relationship development through close and ongoing account support.

This is a hands-on sales role for someone who enjoys both building new business and developing strong, long-term customer relationships. The Retail Sales Account Manager will work closely with retailers, distributors, brokers, and internal teams to identify opportunities, support existing business, analyze sales performance, and execute strategies that expand Stahlbush’s customer base and retail presence.

Responsibilities

• Develop and grow relationships with retail customers, distributors, brokers, and prospective partners.
• Support sales activities throughout the sales cycle, from prospecting and lead generation through close and ongoing account management.
• Identify opportunities to expand Stahlbush’s customer base and retail presence.
• Represent Stahlbush at trade shows, food shows, retail meetings, broker trainings, store visits, and tabletop events.
• Travel up to approximately 20% to support customers, industry events, and sales initiatives.
• Partner with sales leadership to implement market and account strategies.
• Maintain accurate records of prospecting, customer activity, sales calls, closed business, and follow-up.
• Analyze sales data and help translate findings into actionable insights and opportunities.
• Develop brand decks, presentations, and other materials to support customer conversations.
• Provide responsive, thoughtful support to retail customers and consumers.
• Assist with trade show planning, preparation, and execution.
• Support new product development, packaging initiatives, and other retail-focused projects.
• Develop a strong understanding of Stahlbush’s full retail product portfolio.
• Collaborate across departments to support customer satisfaction, revenue growth, and long-term account goals.
• Contribute wherever needed as part of a collaborative, hands-on team.

Qualifications

• Experience in sales, account management, business development, customer service, or a related role.
• Experience within food, beverage, CPG, grocery, retail, or a related consumer-products industry strongly preferred.
• Experience working with retailers, distributors, and/or brokers preferred.
• Demonstrated ability to build and maintain strong customer relationships.
• Comfortable developing new business as well as supporting and growing existing accounts.
• Strong analytical skills with the ability to understand sales data and identify meaningful trends or opportunities.
• Excellent written, verbal, and presentation skills.
• Strong organization, attention to detail, and follow-through.
• Self-directed and able to operate effectively with limited supervision.
• Proactive problem solver who is comfortable navigating changing priorities and customer needs.
• High level of integrity, dependability, persistence, and personal ownership.
• Collaborative, team-oriented approach with a willingness to contribute beyond a narrowly defined role.
• Bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Willingness and ability to travel up to approximately 20%.
