Licensed Practical NurseLPN Duties include but are not limited to:Delivers care to patients in a respectful non-judgmental manner and according to Patient Care PlanDemonstrates understanding of age- and population-specific characteristics that affect the health care needs of the veteranPerforms aspects of admission/discharge procedures as directedCollects patient data including observations of patient statusAccurately reports patient/client informationRecognizes subtle and significant changes in the patient in response to nursing carePromptly recognizes urgent or emergent patient care situations, seeks assistance and effectively intervenes as directed when appropriateCommunicates changes in patient condition/response to nursing careOrganizes/prioritizes routine and non-routine nursing care activitiesProvides care to patients/clients appropriate to their cognitive, physical, emotional and chronological maturationAccurately documents and retrieves patient/clinical information using electronic medical recordProvides effective education to patients and/or family members in relation to common disease processes, medications, and/or prescribed diagnostic and/or treatment regimes, as directedAdheres to standards of practice and safe technique in preparation and administration of medicine, documents administration in BCMAObserves patient for adverse effects from medication and reports to the team RNWork Schedule: M-F; 7:30-4:00pmPay: Competitive salary and regular salary increasesPaid Time Off: 37-50 days of annual paid time offer per year (13-26 days of annual leave, 13 days of sick leave, 11 paid Federal holidays per year)Parental Leave: After 12 months of employment, up to 12 weeks of paid parental leave in connection with the birth, adoption, or foster care placement of a childChild Care Subsidy: After 60 days of employment, full time employees with a total family income below $144,000 may be eligible for a childcare subsidy up to 25% of total eligible childcare costs for eligible children up to the monthly maximum of $416.66Retirement: Traditional federal pension (5 years vesting) and federal 401K with up to 5% in contributions by VAInsurance: Federal health/vision/dental/term life/long-term care (many federal insurance programs can be carried into retirement)Telework: Ad-hoc: not on a reoccurring basisVirtual: This is not a virtual positionPermanent Change of Station (PCS): Not AuthorizedPCS Appraised Value Offer (AVO): Not Authorized
