Activities Aide

About the Role:

As an Activities Aide, you'll play a vital role in planning, organizing, developing, and implementing activities on our units and on community outings. You'll work with our residents to design a program that meets their interests and physical, mental, and psycho-social well-being, while also ensuring compliance with federal, state, and local standards.

Responsibilities:

• Support the facility's philosophy of care and strive to achieve its goals and objectives
• Create and maintain a calm and welcoming environment throughout the facility
• Assist in planning, developing, and implementing activity programs
• Provide guidance and resources to staff on life enrichment and quality of life for residents
• Safely transport residents to and from appointments or external outings
• Assist in off-site outings for residents, providing transportation and coordination
• Attend and participate in scheduled training, educational classes, and orientation programs

Requirements:

• High school diploma required
• Valid driver's license required
• Adequate English oral and writing skills
• Strong organizational skills, initiative, creativity, and communication skills
• Ability to bend, reach, walk, sit, stand, and push/pull as the position requires
• Ability to lift 25 lbs.
