Landscape ForemanThe Landscape Foreman is responsible for installation and management of landscape and hardscape projects. The foreman is responsible for completing landscape and hardscape installations with great precision and business minded efficiency.Essential FunctionsSupervises and manages landscape crewEnsures that each crew member is trained appropriately for each designated job assignmentParticipates in and conducts all job site safety briefings with crew membersEnsures that all crew members utilize all required personal protective equipmentUnderstands and instructs crew members on proper job site security proceduresEnsures that all installation work is performed in accordance with industry and company standardsEnsures that all equipment safety and maintenance procedures are followedPerforms administrative functions pertaining to crew managementInteracts with clientele in order to help ensure job satisfactionUnderstands financial aspects of each job assignmentFollows directions from supervisorParticipates in all safety training sessions offered, asks questions, and improves job safety skillsTrack and record all job expenses and hours worked accuratelyTrains crew members the development in the best practices of installation in company standardsDirect activities on the job site, they include but are not limited to: coordinating work flow, hands on work, and operating a variety of machineryCommunicating production goals (and other items) with crew members, supervisors, and clientsTrain and promote the development of subordinates in the best practices of installation and company standardsMonitor all tools, equipment and machinery for needed maintenanceMaintain a clean and safe job site at all timesCompetenciesTime Management.Project Management.Initiative.Communication.Supervisory ResponsibilityDelegating tasks.Ensuring all company safety guidelines and regulations are followed.Reporting daily progress to supervisor/designer.Communicating job site needs.Assisting with proper installation.Identifying aspects of design that may affect irrigation, gas lines, building foundations, drainage, etc.RequirementsWork EnvironmentWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to outdoor weather conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate.Physical DemandsWhile performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to have full range of mobility in upper and lower body; be able to reach overhead; be able to work in various positions, including stooping, standing, bending over, sitting, kneeling and squatting for extended periods of time; be able to lift, pull and push materials and equipment to complete assigned job tasks; and be able to frequently lift 50 pounds of weight throughout the assigned workday.Position Type/Expected Hours of WorkThis is a full-time position. Schedule fluctuates Monday through Saturday. Occasional overtime may be required.TravelTravel for this position is rare. The maximum amount of expected travel is 10% annually.Required Education and ExperienceHigh School Diploma or equivalent.Valid driver license in good standing 5 Years landscape experiencePreferred Education and Experience5-10 years landscape industry preferred.Associates or Bachelor degree in landscape design, horticulture or related field of study.Work Authorization/Security Clearance (if applicable)U.S. Citizen, Permanent Resident.
