Organ Placement Coordinator - Transplant Services

Join our team as a variable shift, full-time, hybrid, Organ Placement Coordinator, INTEGRIS HEALTH Abdominal Transplant Department, in Oklahoma City, OK. Responsibilities Manage all aspects of deceased donor transplants, from notification of organ offer to offer acceptance through transplantation. Assess the suitability and prepare the potential transplant/organ recipient and live donor for solid organ transplantation. Apply recipient and donor selection criteria at the time of transplant and coordinate pre‑operative care for cadaver/live donor and recipient. Communicate timely and accurately with transplant surgeons, physicians, and the OPO regarding organ offers. Notify, schedule, and update all transplants, HLA lab, OPO, and hospital team members through all phases of transplant, donor recovery, pre‑transplant admission, OR and anesthesia scheduling, and post‑transplant. Arrange all transportation for organ recovery and/or organ transport as required. Contact transplant recipients for triage/assessment of current status with appropriate documentation and report back to transplant physicians for determination of candidacy. Complete all required UNET documentation at time of organ offer, for acceptance and denial of organs, and at time of pre‑ and post‑transplant. Complete all required notification and documentation required by the transplant program and OPTN. Report to the Abdominal Transplant Nurse Manager. Receive patient phone calls and triage based on program criteria. Receive outside physician/hospital calls related to transplant program patients and manage appropriate care per program criteria. Assume shifts as assigned by manager. Qualifications Required Qualifications AAH‑RMA, AAMA‑CMA, AAMP‑RMA, ARMA‑RMA, AMT‑RMA, NCCT‑NCMA, NHA‑CCMA, ABR‑OE, or other nationally recognized credentialing allowing for electronic medical health record (EMR) order entry. BLS (Basic Life Support) issued by American Red Cross or American Heart Association within 30 days of hire. 3 years of clinical experience. Preferred Qualifications Previous transplant experience.
