COOK (FULL AND PART TIME)

We are hiring immediately for full‑time and part‑time COOK positions at Marshfield Medical Center‑Rice Lake – 1700 West Stout Street, Rice Lake, WI 54868. Online applications are accepted only. Pay Range: $19.00 per hour to $23.00 per hour. Free shift meal provided. Willing to train. Job Summary Prepares food in accordance with applicable federal, state and corporate standards, guidelines and regulations with established policies and procedures. Ensures quality food service is provided at all times. Essential Duties and Responsibilities Prepare high‑quality food items according to standardized recipes and instructions to meet production, delivery and service schedules. Serve meals or prepare for delivery by using correct portioning, meeting outlined standards, ensuring food is at the correct temperature and is attractive and tasty; taste all prepared food items. Use established ticket collection procedures during service and maintain records from area worked during service periods. Clean kitchen after preparation and serving; maintain high standards of cleanliness. Store or discard excess food in accordance with safe food‑handling procedures. Keep refrigerators and storerooms clean and neat; store food and supply items per standards. Operate and maintain kitchen equipment as instructed. Assist in production planning, record keeping and reporting as required. Assist in ordering and receiving all food and supplies as required. Report needed maintenance, faulty equipment or accidents to the supervisor immediately. Attend in‑service and safety meetings. Maintain good working relationships with coworkers, customers, administrators and managers. Perform job safely while maintaining a clean, safe work environment. Perform other duties as assigned. Ensure proper presentation, portion control and maintenance of serving temperatures; follow HACCP standards. Commit to personal safety and that of others. Requirements Prior cooking and food service experience required. Must be able to perform essential functions of the position with or without a reasonable accommodation. May be required to undergo Florida Level2 background screening.
