Phlebotomist

Job Description Responsible for performing blood draws, labeling specimens, centrifuging specimens, recording maintenance data and decontamination, updating patient information, etc. Collect and store specimens according to established procedures. Label, centrifuge, split, and freeze specimens as required by test order. Package specimens for transport. Store specimen samples according to required temperature; place samples in appropriate collection container/tube and accurately label them. Follow procedures as outlined by specific protocols to maintain specimen integrity during transport. Qualifications 1+ year of experience working as a phlebotomist in a laboratory or hospital setting. Experience with pediatric and geriatric populations. Phlebotomy certification preferred. Job Type & Location Contract position based in Austin, TX. Must be located close to Austin. Pay & Benefits Pay range: $18.00 – $20.00 per hour. Benefits Medical, dental & vision.
