About the RoleWe are seeking a Senior SAP ABAP Developer for a long-term remote contract opportunity supporting a large public-sector SAP environment. The developer will design, develop, customize, and support complex SAP applications while partnering with functional and integration teams on troubleshooting, incident analysis, enhancements, and interfaces.
The ideal candidate will have extensive hands-on experience with ABAP/ABAP-OO on HANA, SAP ECC 6.0, RAP, CDS, Fiori/UI5, BTP, RICEFW, integrations, and modern SAP extensibility approaches. Public-sector experience is preferred.
Responsibilities-
Design, develop, customize, test, and support SAP ECC 6.0 on HANA applications across enterprise business functions.

Develop SAP solutions using ABAP/ABAP-OO, RICEFW, BAdIs, BAPIs, IDocs, REST APIs, user exits, workflows, RAP, and CDS models.

Build and enhance interfaces in collaboration with SAP integration teams and support functional teams with troubleshooting and incident analysis.

Develop modern SAP extensions using Fiori Elements, SAPUI5, BTP, ABAP Cloud, CAP, Cloud Foundry, and clean-core extensibility principles.

Perform systems analysis, technical design, specification development, programming, unit testing, documentation, and custom-code migration activities.

Minimum 10+ Years of Senior-Level SAP ABAP Development Experience Required.

Strong Experience With ABAP/ABAP-OO on HANA, SAP ECC 6.0, BOPF, FPM, WebDynpro, RICEFW, RAP, CDS, and SAP Workflow Required.

Experience With SAP Fiori, SAPUI5, ABAP Cloud, SAP BTP, S/4HANA APIs, Clean-Core Extensibility, and Custom-Code Migration Required.

Experience With SAP Integration Technologies Including ALE, IDocs, BAPIs, REST APIs, BAdIs, Enhancements, and Interface Development Required.

Experience With SAP HCM, EHS, IS-U, CRM, BlueWorx/Neptune, ArcGIS Integration, or Related Enterprise SAP Modules Strongly Preferred; Public-Sector Experience Preferred.
