Heartline Staffing is recruiting a Business Developer/BDR for a direct-hire sales opportunity in Conroe, Texas. This is an active, field-based business-development role focused on generating new business, prospecting, engaging decision-makers, developing client relationships and building a strong sales pipeline. The Business Developer will use phone outreach, face-to-face visits, networking, referrals and consultative selling to identify opportunities and convert prospects into new clients. Success requires disciplined daily sales activity, confidence approaching decision-makers, strong communication and the persistence to consistently execute against defined sales goals.

New Business Development

Generate an average of 2 new clients per week. Qualify prospects by assessing client needs, budget and timeline. Engage decision-makers through phone and in-person sales calls. Respond to buying signals and qualify job opportunities. Facilitate timely handoffs of qualified opportunities to the appropriate internal team. Introduce staffing agreements and new-account paperwork. Collaborate internally to keep job orders moving toward fulfillment.

Sales Activity

Complete 120 total weekly sales calls, including 100 face-to-face visits. Complete a minimum of 60 Decision Maker calls weekly. Conduct 5 strategic appointments per week. Self-generate sales opportunities through networking, referrals and outbound activity. Document 100% of daily calls and establish the next action step for each prospect or client. Address objections and document sales outcomes.

Pipeline & Territory Management

Call on 800-1,000 accounts quarterly. Identify and prioritize high-potential prospects capable of closing within the next 90 days. Maintain strategic weekly activity with priority target accounts. Divide the market into manageable territories based on business potential. Plan daily sales activities around appointments and nearby prospecting opportunities. Maintain an organized and active sales pipeline.

Consultative Sales & Client Development

Stay informed about labor-market trends and use that knowledge to provide consultative value. Anticipate account needs and provide appropriate solutions. Develop existing client relationships and identify opportunities for additional services. Participate in approved local business organizations to develop professional relationships and generate leads.

Team Collaboration

Meet regularly with the internal team to share territory plans, opportunities and inventory. Share leads and qualified job opportunities promptly. Maintain communication regarding daily sales activities and territory plans. Collaborate with internal partners to support a seamless sales process.

Working Conditions

Significant work is performed away from the local office in office and plant environments. Regular travel within the sales territory is required. Travel may involve inclement weather and hazardous road conditions. Must be able to work effectively with daily travel, deadlines, commitments and account issues. Must be able to climb stairs and carry necessary marketing materials.
