Maintenance Technician III

AbbVie seeks a Maintenance Technician III to provide senior-level technical support and train junior staff at its North Chicago facility. The role requires expertise in multiple maintenance disciplines, electrical systems, and advanced diagnostics to ensure equipment reliability and compliance with manufacturing standards.
Responsibilities
- Perform advanced maintenance tasks and senior technical support independently
- Train lower-level technicians on complex procedures and tasks
- Maintain equipment function and reliability to meet quality standards
- Conduct root cause analysis and reliability-centered maintenance investigations
- Support continuous improvement and safety initiatives across the site
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED
- 10+ years maintenance experience, or relevant certificate with 5+ years, or associate technical degree with 3+ years
- Electrical experience with motors, controls, and PLCs
- Proficiency in two or more skilled maintenance functions
- Advanced tool knowledge including diagnostic and predictive equipment
- Intermediate MS Windows computer skills
- CMRT or equivalent accreditation desired
