Job Description
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Demonstrate ability to operate and attach/hook-up all farm/heavy equipment.
- Visually inspect equipment and vehicles operated each day and report items in need of repair.
- Perform various manual labor duties including filling sprayer tanks with water and chemicals according to formula.
- Operates field-type sprayer equipment from (ATV) presses lever, points nozzle and applies herbicide to selected area.
- Keep work areas and equipment clean.
- Perform all safety requirements as identified in the Job Safety Analysis (JSA).
- Assist in training new employees. Attend and participate in company safety programs.
- Ability to operate other equipment in the Functional area.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Ability to work daily and extended hours as necessary.
- Requires ability to properly manage and handle pesticides, fertilizers, fuels and lubricants.
- Requires ability to understand and comply with posted work rules and procedures.
- Ability to read and comprehend instructions.
- Must be able to add, subtract, multiply, and divide in all units of measure.
- Must have a valid driver's license in good standing and be able to safely operate vehicles.
