Position Summary
The Work Adjustment Training Coach (WATC) plays a crucial role in vocational rehabilitation, primarily assisting individuals with disabilities in developing the skills and behaviors necessary for successful employment.

We are currently seeking a full-time Work Adjustment Training Coach to work Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM.

Compensation

• Pay Rate: $16.00 - 20.00 per hour

Key Responsibilities

• Assessment: Evaluating individuals' existing work skills, readiness for employment, and potential barriers to securing and maintaining a job.
• Training Program Development and Implementation: Designing, delivering and evaluating individualized training plans and modules focusing on areas like soft skills (reliability, teamwork, communication, problem-solving), work habits (attendance, punctuality), and specific job-related tasks.
• Instruction: Providing direct instruction through various methods, including one-on-one coaching, group workshops, and real or simulated work settings.
• Job Coaching and Support: Providing on-site support and training as individuals transition to competitive employment, acting as a liaison between individuals and employers, and offering ongoing assistance to address challenges and promote success.
• Case Management: Serving as a case manager for individuals, overseeing their progress, documenting their development, and collaborating with other professionals and community agencies involved in the rehabilitation process.
• Community Engagement: Promoting agency awareness and developing collaborative relationships with employers and other community organizations to identify job opportunities and foster supportive work environments for clients.

Qualifications

• An associate's degree in a human services field (e.g., vocational rehabilitation, psychology, education, social work) is required, a bachelor's degree is preferred.
• Previous experience working with individuals with disabilities, or in a related field such as human resources or training, is highly beneficial.
• Ability to pass criminal background and social services background checks
