Tax Manager

Santa Maria, CA

$140,000-$170,000+ DOE

I'm partnering with a well-established regional CPA firm on California's Central Coast that is looking to add a Tax Manager to its Santa Maria office.

This is an opportunity to join a collaborative firm where you'll take ownership of client relationships, mentor staff, and work directly with the partners. The firm serves a diverse mix of privately held businesses and individuals, with a strong emphasis on business entity taxation.

Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of business and individual tax clients.
• Review complex tax returns while remaining hands-on with larger engagements.
• Serve as the primary point of contact for your clients and provide proactive tax planning and advisory services.
• Mentor and develop staff while overseeing engagement workflow and quality.
• Partner closely with firm leadership to continue growing client relationships.

What They're Looking For

• 6+ years of recent public accounting tax experience.
• Active CPA preferred.
• Experience with partnerships, S corporations, C corporations, and individual tax returns.
• Strong technical, communication, and client relationship skills.
• Someone who enjoys mentoring others and is looking for long-term growth.
