LVN/LPN Medical Surgical

Job Summary:

Seeking an experienced LVN/LPN with a focus on Medical Surgical care to provide high-quality nursing support in a Level I Trauma Center. The candidate will be responsible for delivering comprehensive patient care on night shifts, ensuring adherence to hospital protocols and safety standards.

Responsibilities:

• 
  Administer medications, treatments, and interventions according to physician orders and nursing protocols.
  
  
• 
  Monitor and assess patient conditions, promptly reporting changes to the healthcare team.
  
  
• 
  Document patient care accurately and timely in electronic health records.
  
  
• 
  Collaborate with multidisciplinary team members including PCCs and RNs to coordinate patient care.
  
  
• 
  Follow infection control procedures and uphold safety standards at all times.
  
  
• 
  Ensure compliance with all hospital policies and state regulations.
  
  

Qualifications:

• 
  Valid LVN/LPN license in the state and meeting NLC guidelines.
  
  
• 
  Minimum of 2 years recent experience in Medical Surgical nursing, preferably in a Level I Trauma setting.
  
  
• 
  Demonstrated ability to work night shifts and handle patient ratios of 1:7 or higher.
  
  
• 
  Proven experience in a hospital environment with a focus on trauma or acute care.
  
  
• 
  Strong communication and teamwork skills.
  
  
• 
  Current BLS certification required; renewal plans must be documented if expiring during assignment.
