About the Position

Job Title: ICU Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Intensive Care Unit Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: 2 years of ICU experience required License: Must have active state license in hand at time of submission Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NIHSS required Must-Have: - Previous ICU experience - Great team player - Ability to assist with line insertion and intubation - Knowledge of hypothermia protocols - Experience with CRRT / CVVHD and IABP Description: This position involves working day shifts from 06:45 to 19:15. The nurse will be responsible for providing care to adult patients in critical condition. Patient ratios will typically be 1:2. The role requires adherence to protocols and procedures for intensive and intermediate care. The nurse will perform necessary interventions such as administering medication, monitoring vital signs, and providing continuous IV sedation. The ideal candidate will have experience with pulmonary artery line monitoring, be able to interpret dysrhythmias, and manage post-cardiac surgery patients. Every other weekend and every other holiday commitment is required. Flexibility to float between units is expected to meet facility needs. All team members are expected to maintain high standards of patient care and collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team. Training and support will be provided to ensure competence in all required skills and procedures.
