Power BI Architect

Overview: Job Summary: We are seeking a highly skilled Power BI Architect to design, implement, and optimize enterprise-level business intelligence (BI) solutions. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in Power BI, data modeling, DAX, and data visualization , along with strong experience in data architecture, ETL processes, and integration with cloud/on-premises data sources . This role requires both hands-on technical skills and the ability to collaborate with business stakeholders to deliver scalable and insightful BI solutions. Key Responsibilities:
- Lead the design and implementation of end-to-end Power BI solutions for enterprise reporting and analytics.
- Architect data models and develop optimized DAX calculations for business KPIs and metrics.
- Define and enforce Power BI governance standards including security, workspace management, and deployment pipelines.
- Collaborate with business teams to gather requirements and translate them into scalable BI solutions.
- Optimize Power BI reports and dashboards for performance, usability, and scalability .
- Integrate Power BI with various data sources (SQL Server, Azure Data Lake, Synapse, Databricks, APIs, etc.).
- Provide technical leadership in BI strategy, best practices, and adoption across the organization.
- Mentor and guide junior developers and analysts in Power BI development and data visualization practices.
- Work with enterprise architecture teams to align BI solutions with data strategy and governance frameworks .
- 8+ years of experience in Business Intelligence / Data Analytics , with at least 4+ years in Power BI architecture and development .
- Strong expertise in DAX, Power Query (M), and data modeling .
- Hands-on experience with SQL, stored procedures, and performance tuning .
- Solid understanding of ETL/ELT processes and integration with cloud/on-premises data platforms.
- Experience in Azure ecosystem (Azure Data Factory, Synapse, Data Lake, Databricks) is highly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of Power BI administration, governance, and security .
- Ability to communicate BI solutions effectively to both technical and business stakeholders.
- Certifications such as Microsoft Certified: Power BI Data Analyst Associate or Azure Data Engineer .
- Experience with other BI tools (Tableau, Qlik, Looker) for comparative insights.
- Knowledge of data warehousing concepts and modern data lakehouse architectures.
