- JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBIITIES:
- Operates equipment to conduct studies by positioning patients for optimum scan efficiency.
- As required during a procedure, assists positioning patients in required anatomical position for display of body for scans using immobilization and protective equipment as necessary.
- Evaluate scans for technical quality, collate processed images in sequence of exposure and appropriately label.
- Moves equipment into specified positions and adjusts equipment controls to set exposure factors.
- Explains procedures to patients and addresses their concerns.
- Practices radiation protection techniques to minimize radiation to patients and staff.
- Provides a safe environment for administering contrast material and follows protocol for correct contrast use and storage.
- Follows Standard Precautions using personal protective equipment as required.
- Performs other related duties and assignments as required.
- Film/transmit to PACS.
- CERTIFICATES AND LICENSES:
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS) Required . (American heart Association)
- Certified Radiologic Technologist (CRT) Required .
- Registered Technologist in Vascular-Interventional Radiography ARRT (VI) Required Or
- Registered Technologist in Mammography ARRT (M) Required Or
- Registered Technologist in Radiography ARRT (R) Required.
- Registered Technologist in Computer Tomography ARRT (CT) Required Or
- Licensed Radiologic Technologist Required.
- Licensed Medical Imaging Technologist Required.
