Purple DrivePower BI Data EngineerShare Los Angeles, CA PDTAbout the Role:We're seeking an experienced Power BI Developer/Architect to join our Los Angeles team for a 6-month engagement. You'll be responsible for designing and developing comprehensive business intelligence solutions, creating data models, and building interactive dashboards and reports that drive business decision-making.What You'll Do:Design and develop Power BI reports, dashboards, and data visualizationsCreate and optimize data models using Power BI Desktop and Power QueryArchitect scalable Power BI solutions for enterprise-level reporting needsCollaborate with business stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into technical solutionsImplement data governance best practices and security protocolsIntegrate Power BI with various data sources (SQL Server, Azure, SharePoint, etc.)Optimize report performance and troubleshoot data connectivity issuesProvide training and support to end users on Power BI functionalityDocument technical specifications and maintain solution architectureWhat We're Looking For:6+ years of hands-on experience with Microsoft Power BI developmentStrong expertise in Power BI Desktop, Power BI Service, and Power QueryProven experience as a Power BI Architect with complex solution designProficiency in DAX (Data Analysis Expressions) and M languageKnowledge of data modeling concepts and dimensional modelingExperience with SQL Server, Azure services, and data warehousingUnderstanding of ETL processes and data integration techniquesStrong analytical and problem-solving skillsExcellent communication and stakeholder management abilitiesExperience with agile development methodologiesPreferred Qualifications:Microsoft Power BI certificationsExperience with Azure Data Factory, Synapse AnalyticsKnowledge of Python or R for advanced analyticsFamiliarity with other BI tools (Tableau, QlikView)Understanding of data governance and security frameworks
