Tax Partner – Hybrid – Work from Both Home and Office

Well-established, highly lucrative regional CPA firm seeks a Tax Leader to join their expanding team. We are open to considering current Partners, Tax Directors, and Tax Senior Managers from other CPA firms. Candidates should have extensive experience in client management, team management, and business development. With two partners retiring soon, we are looking for someone with a strong background in trust and estate matters. The ideal candidate should be able to quickly step into a partner role, oversee the practice, and manage our Bremerton office.

Responsibilities

• Handle all client services related to accounting, taxes, and management advisory.
• Review and approve tax returns.
• Participate in personnel management including recruitment, hiring, training, and evaluation of accounting staff.
• Maintain technical expertise through professional development activities.
• Develop new business through client expansion and networking.
• Create and oversee training programs for professional staff.
• Offer counsel and guidance to accounting staff.
• Contribute to firm’s practice development efforts.
• Support the most efficient operation of the firm and compliance guidelines.
• Participate in various committees to improve firm’s operation and profitability.
• Other duties as assigned by Managing Partner.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

• Develop, coach, and train all tax employees.
• Evaluate qualifications of tax staff for training needs.
• Participate in reviews, compensation, and evaluations of accounting professionals.

Qualifications

• Require 10-15 years of public accounting experience with specialization in generalist tax and trust tax.
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in accounting.
• Minimum of 40 hours of continuing professional education annually.
• Current CPA license.
