Project ManagerHBK Engineering is seeking a Project Manager. This position offers the opportunity to lead a project team consisting of engineers, designers, and field personnel involved in the design, modification, analysis, and constructability of new and existing utility systems.What You'll DoLead project teams consisting of engineers, designers, and field personnel involved in design, modification, analysis, and constructability of new and existing utility systemsWork on challenging assignments including investigating, troubleshooting, and solving engineering and construction-related issuesCoordinate utility design and relocation efforts on behalf of utility infrastructure ownersPrepare, review, and approve proposals, contracts, and cost estimates with executive authorityAct as team lead in coordination of detailed design phases for all aspects of utility engineering workCoordinate design activities to ensure installation and operations comply with specifications, codes, and client requirementsPrepare reports and studies that present technical information clearly and concisely to meet client requirementsPerform independent reviews of work performed by project teams for quality assuranceLead efforts to ensure projects are completed satisfactorily, on time, and within budgetNegotiate revisions, changes, and additions to contractual agreements with sub-consultants and clientsAdhere to safety initiatives as needed by the organizationManage, develop, mentor, and evaluate resources within the organizationTrain project coordinators and senior project coordinators in project management best practicesTravel as needed for project requirements and client meetingsControl expenditures to meet budget allocations and financial targetsCreate proposals in coordinated effort with project team leadership, contractors, and other key team membersProvide project team leadership through completion of project financial accruals and forecastsIdentify and resolve project/program budget, forecast, and authorization concerns early and develop resolutions to meet required project metricsMonitor and resolve program financial risks and opportunities and provide detailed analysis of variances to budget, quarterly plan, and month-over-month variance analysis.What You'll BringBachelor's degree is required. Bachelor of Science in Engineering Degree from an ABET accredited institution is preferred.
