Contract | Days | 12-Hour Shifts (7:00 AM–7:30 PM or 7:00 PM–7:30 AM) | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide direct patient care across ICU float cluster units, including medical/surgical/trauma ICU, cardiothoracic ICU (lung transplants and ECMO), and neuro ICU, with a 1:2 nurse-to-patient ratio
• Float as required among all ICU areas as well as MedSurg/Telemetry units, including sister campuses; independent functioning in all floated areas is expected
• Manage all critical drips and operate all types of respiratory support equipment, including ventilators, CPAP, BiPAP, and high-flow oxygen
• Read and interpret telemetry strips using GE monitoring equipment; Tele ratio is 1:4
• Complete bedside reporting and conduct a quality two-person skin assessment within the first four hours of each shift
• Pass a Day 1 SIMs Lab evaluation (pass/fail) covering Foley catheter insertion and central line dressing changes, with strict adherence to sterile field technique required

Required Qualifications

• Active RN license with a minimum of 2 years of ICU experience
• Level I Trauma experience is required
• BLS and ACLS certifications required
• Must pass an Advanced Dysrhythmia Exam with a score of 80% or higher within 2 attempts prior to contract start
• Must be willing and able to float to all assigned ICU and MedSurg/Tele units without refusal; acknowledgment of float requirements is mandatory
• Must live at least 50 miles from the facility to be eligible

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience in a Level I Trauma center and/or teaching hospital setting due to high patient acuity and complexity
• NIHSS certification preferred but not required
• Experience with ECMO and lung transplant patient populations
• Demonstrated competency in sterile field technique for Foley catheter insertion and central line dressing changes
