Operations Manager

Who You Are An experienced leader with two or more years of specialty retail experience, emphasizing store operations and/or visual merchandising. A model of professionalism with strong work‑ethic, integrity, and respect for others. Customer‑centric, understanding how exceptional service contributes to growing store sales. An educator, coach, and mentor who inspires team associates based on their strengths. Organized and strategic, capable of making independent decisions in a fast‑paced environment. Clear communicator of business information and brand initiatives. Ambitious, enthusiastic, friendly, and able to work cooperatively in a diverse environment. Technologically proficient, able to navigate, coach, and train computer POS/iPad/handheld systems. Comfortable climbing ladders, moving around regularly, standing for extended periods; able to bend, reach, stretch for product, lift, carry, and move at least 40lbs. Able to work a flexible schedule, including opening/closing shifts, weekends and holidays, with open availability of 40hours per week. What You'll Do Create and foster a culture of hospitality through exceptional customer experiences and build enduring internal and external relationships. Provide an exceptional and meaningful customer service experience that promotes products and builds brand relationships. Achieve sales and service metrics in key measurable areas (e.g., clienteling/outreach, appointment setting, Talbots Classic Awards). Partner with the manager to lead the team with ownership of all operational areas. Plan, execute, and lead floor sets, window displays, interior marketing, recalls, markdowns, etc. Educate, train, and reinforce brand standards, company policies, and procedures. Balance operational and selling priorities, ensuring proper planning/scheduling and task prioritization. Maintain knowledge of business, competitive landscape, fashion trends, and key drivers to identify opportunities maximizing sales and achieving financial goals. Ensure compliance with all company policies, procedures, and local, state, and federal employment laws. Develop and maintain positive working relationships that support a productive work environment.
