Advanced Practice Nurse (Midwife)

Duties

Help

Conduct clinical assessment, and diagnosis, and directs treatment and management of patients from adolescence to beyond menopause, in outpatient clinics, and hospital inpatient obstetrical units.

Utilize and perform screening and diagnostic modalities.

Complete obstetrical evaluation and provides plan of care and hospital admissions.

Participate in patient care rounds and conferences, presenting patient cases/topics and communicating patient management strategies to members of the patient care team.

Develop, review and update Military Treatment Facility (MTF) policies, protocols, standards of midwifery practice, operating procedures, and scope of practice documents, in collaboration with multidisciplinary members of the healthcare team.
