Bilingual Social Worker - Early Start Location: San Francisco Office Salary Range: Bachelor's Degree: $59,826 - $71,791 | Master’s Degree: $65,929 - $79,114 Job Type: Hybrid flex schedule – work in community, office in San Francisco, or at home. What the Bilingual Social Worker will do Conduct needs assessments with families of clients aged 0‑3 and develop, implement, and coordinate the client’s Family Service Plan. Advocate and coordinate services, ensuring family access to entitled services and rights. Meet with clients/families, provide community resources, referrals, and developmental activities. Provide intake services and crisis management as needed. Educate clients/families on resources, Medicaid Waiver, Institutional Deeming, and other relevant policies/programs. Research available community resources, initiate referrals, monitor progress, and participate in community meetings. Maintain client records, including case and Title XIX Progress notes, and ensure compliance with California regulations. Coordinate transition from Early Start services to local school districts or other community programs. Qualifications Experience in multicultural/multilingual settings. Knowledge of generic services, counseling principles, child development, and family relationships. Knowledge of state and federal legislation concerning Early Start regulations. Strong interview, organizational, crisis management, communication, and problem‑solving skills. Fluency in Spanish (reading and speaking). Good computer skills (MS Office or similar). Creativity, empathy, and cultural awareness are essential. Bachelor’s Degree in social welfare or related field (Master’s preferred). Case management experience with infants or children under 4 strongly preferred.
