We specialize in the fabrication and installation of high-end natural and engineered stone countertops, including quartzite, marble, granite, porcelain, and quartz. We are looking for someone who can accurately measure and template residential and commercial projects and communicate project details clearly to our fabrication and installation teams.
Responsibilities
- Travel to residential and commercial job sites to perform countertop measurements and templates
- Accurately measure walls, cabinets, appliances, sinks, backsplashes, and other relevant areas
- Create precise countertop templates using digital templating equipment and/or traditional templating methods
- Verify cabinet installation, level, wall conditions, overhangs, seam locations, and other site conditions
- Identify potential installation or fabrication issues before material is cut
- Take detailed measurements, photographs, and job-site notes
- Communicate field conditions and required adjustments to the office, fabrication team, and installers
- Review project drawings and plans prior to templating
- Confirm sink, cooktop, faucet, outlet, and appliance locations
- Ensure templates and measurements meet company fabrication and installation standards
- Maintain accurate records and documentation for each project
- Follow company safety procedures and maintain professional conduct on job sites
Qualifications
- Previous experience templating or installing countertops is required
- Strong understanding of residential construction and cabinetry
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Comfortable working independently and managing multiple job sites
- Strong communication and problem-solving skills
- Valid driver's license
- Ability to use a tape measure and other measuring equipment accurately
- Ability to work in residential and commercial construction environments
