Requirements:

- Active license and current registration as a Registered Professional Nurse in New York State

- BLS certification required

- COVID-19 vaccine required (medical exemptions only)

Roles & Responsibilities:

- Conduct health assessments and develop nursing care plans for incarcerated individuals.

- Administer nursing treatments and procedures as needed.

- Provide health teaching, counseling, and case-finding services.

- Supervise and train nursing staff and direct care staff.

- Collaborate and consult with interdisciplinary treatment teams.

Compliance / Notes:

- Candidate must clear the state-run Criminal History Form before starting (can take up to 4 weeks).

- Valid state license required—no exceptions.

- Returning staff must be away from any New York State facility for 2 years.
