Summer School Bus Driver

Under the direction and supervision of the Director and Assistant Director of Transportation Services, the Summer School Bus Driver performs intermediate semi-skilled support work in the transportation of students to and from Summer School.

Qualifications

• Possess a Commercial Driver's License with Class B endorsement
• General knowledge of City traffic rules and regulations
• Ability to operate buses and related equipment safely and efficiently
• Ability to remain alert and to remain calm during the periods of stress
• Ability to keep simple records and make reports
• Ability to establish effective relationships with riders, children, departmental officials and employees, and the general public

Terms of employment June 29-July 23, 2026, no personal benefits or leave programs are available to summer school employees. Employment will be contingent on summer school student enrollment.
