As Staff Accountant, you are responsible for supporting the day-to-day finance, accounting, & payroll operations of Napa Valley Wine Train. Assist with month-end, quarter-end, and year-end closing processes. You are highly detail-oriented & enjoy working with numbers, solving problems, maintaining accuracy, and collaborating with multiple departments. You are excited to accept the daily challenge involving a combination of financial analysis, payroll processing, compliance, and supporting the organization's overall financial health. Requirements YOU OWN THIS IF YOU HAVE... Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, business administration or a related field. Minimum 2 years of accounting and/or payroll experience for medium to large sized organization. Proficiency with Ventrata, Acumatica, Craftable, Hotel Effectiveness, Paylocity. Advanced Microsoft Excel skills. Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving abilities. High attention to detail and accuracy. Preferred Skills Financial reporting Account reconciliations Journal entries General ledger maintenance Time management Data analysis Confidentiality and integrity Payroll accounting (tips & gratuity) Payroll processing (bi-weekly, semi-monthly) Timekeeping and attendance management Recordkeeping and payroll documentation Confidential handling of employee information Accounts payable (AP) Accounts receivable (AR) Expense analysis Cash flow management Inventory accounting Physical Requirements Ability to lift 25–50 pounds. Ability to stand and/or sit for extended periods in an office environment.
