Physical Therapist

Encompass Health is seeking a dedicated Physical Therapist to join our Healthcare & Medical Services team. In this role, you will deliver high-quality, patient-centered rehabilitation in an inpatient setting, collaborating with an interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized treatment plans. You will assess patient needs, restore function, improve mobility, and educate patients and families on continued care. • Assess patient conditions by conducting physical examinations and evaluating medical histories.
• Formulate treatment plans to address the needs of patients, including pain management and physical impairments.
• Implement therapeutic interventions, monitor patient progress, and adjust treatments as necessary.
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary healthcare teams to provide cohesive patient care.
• Educate patients and family members about treatment plans and ongoing home exercises.
• Maintain patient records, ensuring timely documentation of therapy sessions.
• Participate in continuing education activities to enhance expertise and maintain state licensure.
• Strong understanding of biomechanics, therapeutic practices, and rehabilitation equipment.
• Excellent interpersonal and communicative skills, both verbal and written.
• Ability to tailor clinical treatments to individual patient needs effectively.
• Proficiency with electronic medical record systems.

Qualifications:

• Valid state licensure as a Physical Therapist.
• CPR certified.
