About the Role

The Company is in search of a Vice President of Finance to join their leadership team and play a pivotal role in enhancing the financial health and long-term sustainability of the organization. The successful candidate will be a hands-on, mission-focused professional with a strong technical accounting background and a passion for meaningful work. This role involves overseeing the financial operations, leading financial reporting, managing the budgeting and forecasting process, and ensuring compliance with non-profit accounting standards. The VP of Finance will also be responsible for tracking donations, grants, and expenditures, processing payroll, and serving as the primary liaison for external auditors. Applicants for the VP of Finance position at the company should have a Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance, with 7-10 years of progressive non-profit accounting and reporting experience. A strong knowledge of non-profit financial statements, fund accounting, and compliance is essential, as is experience with ERP systems and advanced Excel skills. The role requires exceptional communication and presentation skills, particularly in the context of presenting to Boards, and a proactive, hands-on approach that allows for both strategic and tactical operations. The ideal candidate will be a trusted advisor to executive leadership and the Board of Directors, continuously improving financial processes, controls, and reporting accuracy.
