Under direction of management implements business objectives, strategies, and plans and oversees daily work functions. Under direction of management implements and supports company programs and policies.Responsibilities:Plan and manage the work of the functional group.Maintain a safe and clean working environment by observing safety and security procedures, and reporting/correcting potentially unsafe conditions as outlined in the PacifiCorp Accident Prevention Manual.Under direction of management ensure employees are accountable to work safely and productively.Under direction of management oversee represented employees within the guidelines of the applicable working agreement.Oversee daily maintenance activities in the assigned area of a plant, in accordance with the company's policies, procedures and guidelines.Under direction of management implement business objectives, strategies and plans.Under direction of management establish, monitor and control costs.Ensure the timely and reliable maintenance of the plant facility.Build and maintain cooperative working relationships with other departments, including Administration, Engineering, and Operations.Perform project management responsibilities on unit outages, major overhauls and other projects as assigned.Prepare Scope of Work documents necessary to obtain firm pricing for contractor work.Lead the functional team; direct day-to-day activities, and provide guidance and recommendations.Provide input into team employee performance reviews.Flag performance and personnel issues for people manager resolution.Requirements:The equivalent combination of journeymen electrician level experience and education or bachelor's degree in an applicable field.A minimum of five years of electrical maintenance experience in a power plant or similar industrial facility.Must be flexible and available in responding to after-hour emergencies.Commitment and dedication to manage projects or assignments through completion.Ability to use computer applications for written communication, planning, budgeting and project scheduling.Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to communicate expectations, coach employees, provide feedback, and work collaboratively with other departments.Leadership and teamwork skills to develop and promote cooperative working relationships within their crew, other maintenance crews and among departments.Ability to make timely decisions.Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from managers, clients, and customers.Basic computer skills, including e-mail and word processing.Preferences:Supervisory skills including the ability to implement action plans for achieving objectives, and to manage daily operations toward long term objectives.Knowledge of power plant operations and plant systems.Familiarity with maintenance management systems.Familiarity with preventative maintenance systems.Familiarity with precision maintenance practices.Technical knowledge and problem solving skills for electrical maintenance of equipment used in power generation.Experience with bargaining unit environments and collective bargaining agreements.Familiarity with Microsoft Office tools.Previous experience as an electrical maintenance supervisor at an industrial facility or power plant.Employees must be able to perform the essential functions of the position with or without an accommodation.Benefits:Medical, dental, and vision insurance401k with match fixed contributions, including a Roth and saving option.Life insuranceAdditional voluntary benefits, including pet insuranceTuition AssistanceMass Transit Pass for employees in our Portland and Salt Lake City Offices.Generous Paid Time Off (PTO) - Time off varies by employee type (Union or Non-Union)Paid short-term disability leave and long-term disability insurancePaid Parental LeavePaid Bereavement LeaveEmployee Assistance Program supporting mental and emotional wellbeingFor more information, please visit: Information:Req Id: 114725 Company Code: Pacificorp #PM25 Primary Location: CASTLE DALE Department: Power Supply Schedule: 9hr/2wk/0700-1700 Personnel Subarea: Exempt Hiring Range: $102,000-$140,250 This position is eligible for an annual discretionary performance incentive bonus of up to 15.00% of salary.
