Patent Agent (EE/CS)

Our client, a global law firm, is seeking a patent agent with a strong technical background. Schedule: Hybrid 3/2, or fully remote anywhere in the U.Draft patent applications and prosecute patent applications before the United States Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO). • Analyze scientific or technical documents, including previously published patent documents, to assess an invention or issued patent. • Draft detailed descriptions of inventions in precise legal terms (patent drafts), which form the basis for patents to be granted by patent offices in various parts of the world. • Communicate and act as a liaison between inventors and the Patent & Trademark Office in connection with all aspects of the patent application process. • Discuss scientific aspects of inventions with clients and inventors. • Keep up to date with legal developments in the intellectual property field. • Work closely with lawyers to support patent litigation, perform due diligence, and support other legal activities. Have 2+ years of law firm patent preparation and prosecution experience. •Have a degree in electrical engineering, computer science, computer engineering, mathematics, physics, or a related field. •Recent law firm experience is required. •
