Our mission is to turn one of the most powerful platforms ever built into something people trust and love. As a product designer your main objective is to make complex systems legible and intuitive.

Competencies

We're not optimizing for a specific background, we're optimizing for product sense. You think in systems and flows, not just individual interfaces. You are comfortable with complexity and know how to reduce it without oversimplifying. You care deeply about usability, but also about strategy and outcomes. You can collaborate fluently with engineers and product leads. You are curious, opinionated, and willing to challenge assumptions. You have strong UI craft and can design pixel-perfect, information-dense interfaces that stay clear, scalable, and easy to navigate. You want real ownership, not just tickets in a backlog. Experience with enterprise software, data-heavy products, or technical users is a plus, but raw ability, judgment, and drive matter more than pedigree.

Planhat has spent a decade building an enterprise-grade platform for commercial teams. We integrate data, workflows, automation, AI, and collaboration into a single system that runs some of the most critical processes inside high-growth Fortune 500 companies. We're not building surface-level UI or feature-by-feature solutions. We've built a horizontal platform made up of composable primitives and the same goes for our design approach. As a product designer at Planhat, you'll work on some of the most complex product challenges in B2B software: design core platform experiences used daily by operators, leaders, and technical teams; turn abstract capabilities like data, automations, AI, and permissions into clear, usable workflows; collaborate deeply with product managers and engineers from problem framing to shipped outcome; build and evolve our design system: reusable components, patterns, and interaction foundations that keep the product consistent, scalable, and fast to ship; balance power and simplicity without dumbing things down. You'll work close to the heart of the product: where decisions compound over years, not sprints.

Definition of Success

Every week we don't make the platform clearer and more intuitive is a missed opportunity for customers. We've built the engine. Now we're focused on how it feels to use. You are continuously raising the bar on UX foundations, delivering clearer patterns and experiences that make platform complexity feel simple and trusted. You are consistently shipping design work that drives real adoption and measurable business impact, not just polished screens. You are actively contributing to and evolving the design system, building reusable components and patterns that scale across the product. You are growing into a design leader who shapes not just individual features but the overall product direction. You are seen as a trusted collaborator by both engineers and product managers, working at the intersection of craft, strategy, and outcomes.

The Product Team

The product team are the architects of Planhat's product direction and market position, making the right bets on where to build and executing on them with speed and quality. We sit at the intersection of engineering, design, and commercial, owning both the vision and the velocity. We think in systems, move fast, and combine deep technical and market understanding to build the platform that defines the next era of enterprise software.

London

Recently completed, with a rooftop that opens onto St Pancras and the skyline beyond. The office sits in the Knowledge Quarter at King's Cross — a single square mile home to around a hundred academic, research and commercial institutions, with Google DeepMind, OpenAI and Anthropic among the immediate neighbours. Coal Drops Yard and Granary Square are a few minutes along the canal.
