Registered Nurse (RN) - Med Surg Surgical

We are seeking a dedicated Registered Nurse (RN) for a Med Surg Surgical unit. This position focuses on delivering exceptional nursing care to patients recovering from surgical procedures.

• Shift: Nights (7 PM - 7 AM)
• Weekly Guaranteed Hours: 36
• Weekend Hours: Required every other weekend; block scheduling accommodated where possible
• Call Requirements: None

Unit Information

• Number of Beds: 23
• Patient Ratios: 1:6
• Equipment: Customary equipment including IV pumps
• EMR: EPIC

Responsibilities

The Registered Nurse will:

• Deliver comprehensive nursing care by developing nursing diagnoses and care objectives.
• Provide physical, emotional, psychological, and spiritual support to patients and their families.
• Educate patients and families about conditions, medications, and self-care skills.
• Monitor and evaluate changing patient conditions and re-assess care objectives as necessary.

Qualifications

• Required Certifications: BLS certification
• Experience: Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience, preferably in a post-surgical environment.
• Must Have Skills/Experience: Experience in post-surgical recovery for urology, orthopedic, and general cases is essential. Must be willing to learn and take on leadership responsibilities.
• Preferred Skillset/Experience: Peri dialysis experience is a plus.
• Personality Fit: Candidates should be team players with strong communication skills.

Scrubs are required, with black being the designated color.
