One year of nursing experience is required, and psychiatric, mental, behavioral, or substance use nursing experience is a plus. CPR and de-escalation and restraint certification are required, with training available upon hire. Experience with electronic medical record (EMR) systems is important. Recommended skills include empathy, active listening, and conflict resolution.
