Clinical Nurse Coord NVICU

Job Summary We are seeking a dedicated Clinical Nurse Coordinator (RN) who is accountable to the Nursing Director for clinical and operational functions of an assigned unit. The CNC will manage unit clinical and operational activities in the absence of the Director, coordinate patient placement, oversee staff roles, and ensure high-quality, patient-centered care during the designated shift. Responsibilities Direct, monitor, and evaluate nursing care in accordance with established policies and procedures. Serve as a resource for staff and model commitment to the organization’s vision, mission, and values. Direct and oversee staff roles on the unit. Coordinate patient placement within the unit according to acuity, skill mix, and staff availability. Identify and address educational needs of the unit. Participate in and direct patient care conferences, addressing issues such as discharge needs. Ensure rounds are made with physicians. Stay informed of patient condition changes and make appropriate clinical decisions. Accountable for orders, ensuring they are appropriate and carried out in a timely manner. Job Requirements Florida RN license and/or approved multistate RN license required. Compact license holders have 60 days to obtain the Florida license after relocation. BLS‑AHA Provider‑issued card required within 30 days of start. 2 years Acute Care RN experience preferred. NIH Stroke Scale certification obtained within 30 days of employment start date. Bachelor’s degree, RN diploma, or Associate Degree. Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certification or ACLS instructor status obtained within 6 months of employment start date. PALS Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) certification or PALS instructor status obtained within 6 months of employment start date. Neonate Resuscitate certification obtained within 30 days of employment start date.
