Job Title: RN - PACU Profession: RN Specialty: PACU Duration: Seasonal - Travel Shift: 09:00 - 21:00 Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 2 years of current acute care hospital PACU RN experience License: Current RN license Certifications: BLS & ACLS Must-Have: - Minimum 1 year current acute care hospital PACU RN experience - BLS & ACLS Description: The position is for an RN in the PACU specialty. Responsibilities include caring for patients recovering from anesthesia. The unit typically handles a variety of surgical procedures including craniotomies and orthopedic surgeries. Patient-to-nurse ratios are 1:2 or 1:1 depending on patient needs. Staff includes nurses and a CNC/charge nurse during the day shift. The unit is focused on patient experience and quality care. Ideal candidates will possess a flexible attitude and ability to adapt to high-pressure situations. Experience with EMR systems, particularly Meditech, is preferred but not required. Candidates should be prepared for on-call duties, typically two eight-hour shifts every third weekend. A positive attitude and commitment to patient care is essential for this role.
