ISP/OSP FIBER TECHNICIAN

Cannon Companies is looking to add new team members to our ISP/OSP Communications Division. We are looking for qualified applicants with a telecommunications cabling background. The position will be located in Seattle. Positions remain open until they are filled. Fiber Splicer Technician Requirements Have a minimum of 2 years' direct experience in the Telecom field. Be able to pass a pre-employment Drug Screening and Criminal Background Check Have a clean driving record and valid Driver's License Be willing to work flexible hours (days/nights) Have a positive attitude and be highly motivated Possess excellent analytical skills and ability to problem solve Ability to distinguish varying fiber colors. Copper slicing experience a bonus This position is a Safety Sensitive Role Essential Functions General knowledge of cable installation practices Proficient in fiber terminating, splicing, and testing both inside and outside plant Responsible for the installation, termination, splicing, testing, certification and documentation of fiber optic cabling as well as related fiber optic maintenance activities Telecom certifications are a HUGE plus Ability to read and understand complex prints for fiber slicing and equipment installations Have a desire and ability to support customer needs with strong attention to detail Perform all duties according to prescribed safety procedures and use appropriate safety equipment Individuals with direct job experience are encouraged to apply. Must have reliable transportation and a valid driver's license, will be required to pass a medical certificate for driving commercial vehicles. Prevailing wages are not guaranteed.
