National Account Executive

Job Title

Responsible for identifying, developing and maintaining national accounts within designated area(s) of responsibility (e.g., retail, multi-concepts.) Coordinate overall company efforts to ensure continuous high service levels by efficiently and profitably managing, serving, and growing specified business areas. Accountable for segment / customer profitability. Interfaces with all levels of customers, branch associates, corporate support services, and suppliers. Functions as a team member within the department and organization, as required, and performs any duty assigned to best serve the company.

Position Responsibilities:

• Coordinate as the primary channel of communication between corporate headquarters and OpCo's purchasing, information services, accounting, and operations departments.
• Manage customer relationships by developing regular communications with key customer personnel to include customer supply chain personnel and end users.
• Coordinate monthly conference calls related to the business as led by Corporate National Accounts Manager
• Coordinate with OpCo's purchasing and operations to achieve goals with regards to new product introduction, lost sales, dead stock, damaged goods, and/or elimination of out of stock items.
• Act as liaison between customer and company to work out details regarding services, products, and opportunities.
• Demonstrates the ability to understand and meet the needs of customers.
• Has a high level of responsiveness.
• Seeks out relevant information to make accurate decisions that result in positive outcomes.
• Makes decisions in reasonable timeframes and involves others to ensure buy-in and understanding.
• Occasional nights/weekends as needed to support the business.
• Performs other duties as assigned
